Understanding one of the few insecticides for organic growers
publication date: Jan 1, 2013
Very few insecticides are registered for use in organic production systems, which makes dealing with the multitude of arthropod (insect and mite) pests a challenge. The product Entrust® is commercially available for use against a number of insect pests including thrips, caterpillars, leafminers, and some leaf-feeding beetles including Colorado potato beetle and flea beetles. It is an expensive product, however, so it’s important for growers to understand how to use it.
